preview for Annie Christian. Sputniks Down are arguably one of the best new bands around at the moment. Degrassi’s fuzzy guitar antics are pretty hot too, so you’re in for a treat all round.

I Silver Pill, Cinnamon Skin, Indian Bone and Imperial Racing Club The Venue, 17-21 Calton Road, 557 3073. 8pm. £4. Silver Pill lead the way with their unique brand of molten punk-pop at this local band night.
I Dave Milligan Trio Jazz Joint, 8 Morrison Street, 538 7385. 9.30pm—3am. £4 (£3). Band on stage at 9.30pm. Pianist Milligan and his trio supply a melodic jazz selection. DJ Demus minds the decks.
