LISA FLEMING

The 13th Note has been around a long time. Up here, the music is dance music to thrash to anything but downstairs . . . well, I don’t know what to say about that.

- The ladies’ toilets really annoy me. There’s one particular toilet that doesn't lock and | always seem to get it. The last time I got up and moved toilets 'cos I was sick of getting it . . . and I hate the wee step too.

Don't you sit with your legs sticking out at the door?

No, I use my hand.

- But the step . . . imagine there was somebody wee sitting dangling on the toilet. I like the graffiti on the back of the door. I read it when I’m on the loo.

- The food is good here - I’m vegetarian and it’s cheap. We were just talking about the people who come here. It seems to be people who have just realised that they can’t make it as a rock

star!

It’s usually an older crowd that comes here. But it’s not really posery you can dress to feel comfortable.
