I Salsa Viva at The Venue (top floor). 10.30pm-3am. £7 (£5). 15 Sep. Monthly. Fiesta forever at this monthly Latin treat hosted by the authentic maestro DJ Coco Vega, who funnily enough has the knack of making you dance ‘til you drop. How convenient.

I Sublime at Wilkie House. 10.30pm—3am. £9 (£7). 8 Sep. Fortnightly. The sweaty techno and trance experience that is Sublime returns after a Festival break (although you’d hardly have noticed it with their Teviot gigs). Tonight Sublime favourite Nuw Idol returns for a live set under the auspices of Well Wicked Records, with support from residents Kev and ldge and backroom boys Gary Mac and Flix.

I Subtle Logic at Studio 24. Monthly. Next date 29 Sep.

I Texture at Ego (formerly Eden). Monthly. Next date 22 Sep.

I TL (previously Trancelucent) at The Venue (downstairs). 10.30pm—3am. £5 before midnight; £7 after. 15 Sep. Fortnightly. Trancelucent have changed their name to TL to avoid any unneccessary confusion about this being a dodgy trance night. Now the music policy is firmly pounding beats and techno, very much in line with Pure who used to occupy this slot, with residents Pete Anderson and Steve Liddel.

I Up! at Studio 24 (uplstairs). 10.30pm—3am. £6. 15 Sep. Monthly. Get on up at this quality gay-friendly night of trance and progressive house with residents Nic Cavendish and Alan James. Michael Kilkie, Stuart Duncan, Scott Brown and Rhumba Club nutter Zammo are at the helm of this progressive house night, which has a deserved reputation for top quality tunes. I Barry Cabanas has now finished at The Liquid Room. They will be back though to organise a final farewell and make you guilty for not supporting the club while you could.

I Headspin at The Bongo Club. 10.30pm—3am. £5 (£4). 9 Sep. Monthly. Making your noggin turn a 360, these beats are destined to exorcise any leanings towards techno, as Colin Millar, Steve Austin and the lovely Trendy Wendy lay down some super smooth hip hop, trip hop, house, soul and funk.

I Latin Explosion at The Cavendish. 10pm—3am. £5. Weekly. A night for lovers of all things Latin from Salsa Connections, with top tunes and totally tropical dancefloor action.

I Luver at Wilkie House. 1()pm—3am. £10 (£8). 9 Sep. Monthly. This date has moved from 2 Sep due to Trade’s special appearance at Wilkie House (with more to follow), so tonight it’s Luvely’s indian Summer. Dress as skimpy as the weather will allow to get down to hard house action from Steve Thomas (Trade), Tommy K and Jared in the main room with John Edwards and Scott G taking a lighter route in the backroom. Next date 30 Sep with the first of the Carry On series.
