Weekly. lnsanely successful night based on a complex numerical flirting system: everyone gets a number upon entry. then. if someone catches your eye. you write their number on the board next to your own, with the idea being that they then rush up to you and get biz-ay. Music-wise, it‘s banging house and trance in the main room and across-the-board ‘madness‘ from C.J. downstairs.

Da Break Purveyors of ’da’ finest hip hop, Da Break have mustered premiere funk and soul act The Groovediggaz and seven-piece hip hop and funk band, Style Of Soul for a mighty hootenanny in celebration of their first birthday. La Belle Ange/e, Thu 7 Dec.

Keep It Unreal Praise be to Headspin, who managed to persuade young Mr Scruff into this one-off date of his Manchester residency, featuring five hours of bubblelicious bass-heavy beats from the fresh prince of Ninja Tune. Ego, Fri 8 Dec.

Motherfunk Radio One's nu-jazz daddy Gilles Peterson finds time out from his hectic schedule to come and pay his respects to hip hop and funk staple Motherfunk on the joyous occasion of their fourth birthday. The Venue, Thu 74 Dec.

Joy Sure it’s cold outside but temperatures are set to soar when the lovely Queen Maxine makes her dramatic return to Alan and Maggie's long-running hard house night. Wi/kie House, Sat 9 Dec.

Oxygen Former fashion designer turned professional purveyor of sexy, uplifting hard house, Rachel Auburn (pictured), makes her highly anticipated return to Scotland with a date at this glam wonderland. Studio 24, Sat 9 Dec.
