Names Stephanie Sanderson (interviewed) and Bea Taylor (pictured). Occupations Forward—thinking designer-shopkeepers. On Flux We opened on 13 April 1997 and we stock mainly Scottish arts and crafts. When we started we struggled to get funding because people

didn't believe us that Leith was going to be the place to be; we've proved them wrong.

Celebrity patrons We have had a few celebrities in. The most disappointing was when we were just about to open and Jarvis Cocker walked past and looked in the window. but we weren't open yet.

On Leith It's getting busier and the new development that '5 going on is amazing. It's a nice place to be but we need more shops.

Trivia tit-bit (asks customer who responds) Well, The Proclaimers were from Leith.
