Production Assistant

The List has a vacancy for a production assistant for our Edinburgh office. We are looking for someone with excellent keyboard skills, an eye for detail and a good working knowledge of QuarkXpress. Working to tight deadlines, being thorough, accurate and efficient are essential qualities. Knowledge of Illustrator, FreeHand and Photoshop would be an advantage.

This is a full time post initially for a three month period to cover maternity leave but may have possibility to extend. Flexibility is required with occasional Saturday or evening work to help at busy periods. The job will involve varied responsibilities helping with other aspects of the magazine as well as production work. Salary according to experience.

Temporary Project Co-ordinator Out of the Dark - West Fife £|8378 - £20397 pro rata - l2 hrs/wk

‘Out of the Dark' is a drama-based project for people aged 50+ with mental health problems.This project will provide opportunities for clients to (re)discover their creativity and provide expressive arts training opportunities for care staff.

You will co-ordinate the management and delivery of the project. Duties include liaising with relevant services and agencies to make the necessary arrangements for running short term and community projects, ensuring the training needs of participants and sessional arts workers are met, assisting the Arts Co-ordinator in developing appropriate monitoring and evaluation procedures and assisting in the recruitment of sessional arts workers.

You should have a degree or equivalent experience

in a relevant arts qualification and be a good communicator with strong interpersonal skills. Experience in project management and training delivery and an understanding of arts in health care and drama or other arts skills are essential.

The post is temporary until August 2004.
