macRobert working with and for young people

Work is currently underway on a £6mil|ion capital refurbishment of the macRobert, which will include Scotland’s first dedicated space for children’s theatre, a creche, workshop, state of the art cinema, cafe-bar, children’s gallery and middle scale theatre.

We need the following key posts to develop two

major lottery funded projects to help position the

macRobert as a national centre of excellence for work with and for young people.

Drama Artist & Music Worker

Creation will commence in January 2002 directly involving nearly 500 young people. the Scottish Chamber Orchestra and a team of artists culminating in a spectacular multi-media performance to re-Iaunch macRobert in autumn 2002.

We need a Music Worker and a Drama Artist to join our dynamic arts team for a period of eleven months. You will have relevant experience as a practitioner working with children and young people.

Salaries £16,000 pro-rata.

Web Design Assistant

WOW is the macRobert magazine and website for children. We wish to radically develop the website, and we seek to appoint a Web Design Assistant.

You will have a thorough knowledge of Dreamweaver and HTML and ideally be proficient in Freehand, Quark and Photoshop with knowledge of Flash and Java. You will be creative with an eye for detail. Salary £13,500.
