A vacancy has arisen fora qualified professional artist to create a piece of semi-permanent, exterior artwork to be srted in the garden area of Motherwell Heritage Centre. The artist will involve local community groups and indivrduals we a workshop programme and wrll develop his/her own work in progress in the context of the residency. Scotland's largest independent publishing house is looking for an Iiditorial Coordinator and Iiditor to join our in-house team.

The [Editorial Coordinator will be highly organised and efficient, responsible for liaising with authors, agents and the production department to ensure the publishing process runs smoothly. The position will involve progress chasing, writing advance information sheets, cover and catalogue copy, picture research and clearing

permissions.

The Iiditor's position requires someone with a meticulous eye for detail and will involve structural and on-screen line editing, proof-reading and liaising with authors and designers. among other tasks.

Applicants for either position will ideally have undertaken a further education course in publishing or have some experience of working in the industry. You shouch be computer literate with eXcellent cont- munication skills and able to work under pressure to meet strict

deadlines.
