TECHNICAL DEPARTMENT

Scottish Opera is part way through it‘s highly acclaimed Ring Cycle. Over the next year we will be rehearsing and performing the last two parts of the cycle. culminating in a series of full cycles at the Edinburgh Festival, Glasgow and on tour. over the summer and

autumn of 2003.

We are looking for experienced Stage. Flys/rigging, Lighting, Props and Wardrobe Staff to supplement our in-house teams.

WIGS SUPERVISOR (Ref.WS/TL1)

To supervise the running of the wigs and make-up department. The position is based in Glasgow with some touring (currently 12 weeks a year). Experience of large-scale show supervision essential and the ability to make/repair desirable.

A unique opportunity for an established composer to work with one of the UK’s leading orchestras in a three year partnership with the City of Edinburgh Council. The project will deliver an experimental music education programme for young composers and for teachers across the city, including the creation of an online resource for schools and three commissions, to be performed by young people alongside members of the SCO.
