Drama Support Worker

This post is resourced by the Health Improvement Fund ‘Walk the Talk' initiative and will be a fixed term contract for two years. The remit includes offering drama related activities through personal and social education programmes in schools across Clackmannanshire. It will provide a vehicle for consultation with young people regarding their views on health related issues.

You will work collaboratively taking a person centred approach to health related issues and promoting the confidence and self-esteem of the young people involved in the programme.

You will be based in the Clackmannanshire Secondary School Support Service and will be managed by the Headteacher. There will be a requirement to work closely with INTER-ACT and the Forth Valley NHS Board to ensure that strategies are developed and implemented to take forward the aims of this post.

You will have access to the existing infrastructure of contacts and will be in a position to collaborate with other agencies as appropriate for the benefit of the young people.

You will be part of the CSSSS staff team and will be expected to work alongside CSSSS staff, and take part in the wider development work of the service and any ongoing staff development. You will be expected to be flexible and creative in your approach to the post.

You will have experience of the delivery of drama or groupwork programmes. It is preferred but not essential, that you will hold a professional qualification in community arts, community education or social work, teaching or similar. Salary level will depend on qualifications held and professional experience. Experience in working in a multi-disciplinary staff team is desirable. as is knowledge of school systems.
