Facing The Light features 200 of Hill and Adamson's most famous images drawn from the Scottish National Photography Collection. held at the Portrait Gallery. The Perth-born artist and illustrator David Octavius Hill (1802—1870) and Robert Adamson (1821—1848) were the first to realise the artistic possibilities of photography and the exhibition features a number of original negatives that have been printed for the first time. Scots in Film: Portraits by Donald MacLeIlan Until Sun 13 Oct. Around 30 works by leading portrait photographer. Donald MacLeIlan. For this exhibition, MacLeIlan has turned his lens on Scottish film stars. snapping Robbie Coltrane. Alan Cumming. Tilda Swinton. Billy Connolly. Robert Carlyle. Dougray Scott and many others.
