HELL IS FOR HEROES

‘l'm in a bit of a daze really,’ declares Joe Birch, one fifth of nu ibck bandits Hell is for Heroes. ‘l’m at home for the first time in months and I’m not really sure what to do.’ This would figure - his band rose from the ashes of Brit rock hopefuls Symposium a few years back and have

been touring ever since.

Their infectious hook-laden rock slabs have endeared them to everyone from the UK toilet circuit to the Ozzfest moshpit so this Edinburgh date rounds off a fruitful if motorway service station-heavy

year. (Mark Robertson)
