Goal in life

PL One of the key players in preventing Celtic getting a second successive treble last season. Scored in the 2—1 CIS semi- final and hit two in Rangers dramatic Scottish Cup Final victory. including a headed winner in injury time.

DA Goals have been few and far between but his most memorable Celtic ones were the second in the 3—1 victory over Ajax and a last minute winner against Dundee which came off a part of the body not generally regarded as a tool for scoring goals.

Crosses to bear

PL With Flo being dispatched to Sunderland. there's little in the way of tall targets for Lovenkrands to aim for. So. his crosses tend to be driven low for Mots and Caniggia to scrap for.

DA His blistering speed may be a toy to behold but once he has skinned a defender. his crosses end up either in the keeper's arms or in row Z.

Family values

PL During Lovenkrands' lean spell under Dick Advocaat. his twm Tommy was making more SPL appearances in a St Johnstone strip while Peter was keeping the lbrox
