Arts in Palliative Care

Following a successful pilot project. funding has been secured for a two year programme ofCreative interventions in palliative care at the Prince & Princess of Wales Hospice in Glasgow. The project will aim to establish. through a sustained programme of visual arts. creative writing and access to Glasgow's Cultural 82 Leisure Services. a model of good practice for the arts in palliative care. Artist Co-ordinator 2 year contract 4 days per week. Scale £17,250 [20,000 (pro-rata)

We are looking for a visual artist With several years experience of working in a healthcare or community setting. This post wnll requne the artist to combine reflective artistic practice with strong organisational and management abilities and excellent interpersonal skills. The co-ordinator will be responsible for the Organisation and delivery ofthe project. supported by the Art in Hospital management team. Artist Practitioner 2 year contract 3 days per week. Scale [14,000 £15,250 (pro-rata)

The artist practitioner should also be an experienced practising Visual artist who will work alongside the coordinator to provide a programme ofartistic interventions in a palliative care setting.

Creative Writers 2 projects fee £2,000 each

There will be two fixed period residencies. during which a writer in reSidence will enable. encourage and support hospice patients to express themselves using creative writing. Writers With experience

of working in a community or healthcare setting are invited to apply.

Mentoring is a really simple but effective concept and can make a huge difference to a young person's life.
