Celebrity photographer Platon took the iconographic photo of Bill Clinton, in which he sits open-legged and alpha maled, his hands engorged by the photographer’s fish eye-type lens. Platon had elicited the pose after requesting: ‘Mr President, can you show me the love?’ We can’t be certain what he said to Mr Osbourne for this shot which, alongside others of big achievers such as Al Pacino, Vivienne Westwood, Leonard Cohen and Samuel L Jackson, is in Platon’s Republic, a chunky-gorgeous coffee table book on sale now.
