Three 7 month, Training-Based Internships

The Citizens' Theatre seeks three young people. aged between 17 and 30, for three 7 month training-based internships in one of the following areas: Education and Outreach, Carpentry, Design. Lighting & Sound. Stage Management and Wardrobe. These Internships have been designed to attract people from a black or minority ethnic backgr0und or from the Gorbals.

These Internships should be seen as the first step on the ladder of a permanent career in the education and outreach or techni- cal side of the theatre or entertainment industry. and at the end of the programme. trainees can compete for entry jobs in Britain and Europe. It has been specifically designed to redress the under-representation of black and minority ethnic people in this field in the last 12 months. promoted under Section 37 of the Race Relations Act (1976). or people from the Gorbals.
