When it spewed forth theuRamOnes, Patti Smith, T Heads, New York Dolls and Blondie (who, coincidentally, are playing here this issuetoo) it was centre. musical universe. Television’s only gimmick was their musical virtuosity. This Show with the original line-up by a pair of expert guitar wranglers in Tom Verlaine and Richard Lloyd, will unddubtedly remind us just how: good they are and just how far their influence — on the likes of the Strokes - has spread.
