LAURENT DE WILDE

Laurent de Wilde is a French pianist who was actually born in the USA. He is a fine player in acoustic jazz settings, and his excellent book on Thelonious Monk is a significant contribution to jazz writing, but his current work reflects a powerful interest in contemporary club culture and dance music as well as jazz. He uses Fender Rhodes and programming rather than piano and also calls on the programming and electronicgizmos of
