Last Night of the ScottishPower Proms Gerard Kelly is guest presenter of a last night that is as far removed from the Union Flag waving. Land of Hope and Glory-singing, Albert Hall version as is possible. All under the authoritative baton of Garry Walker, Scottish music includes High/and Cathedral. a Highland Gathering and Scots song medley. Scottish Opera - La Boheme It's been a tumultuous week for the company but as far as the action on stage goes. this is the last chance to see Scottish Opera's new and first rate production (pictured) of Puccini's enduring love story. Director and designer Stewart Laing has updated the Bohemian artist community to modern day Williamsburg in New York. It is witty, moving and wonderfully sung by soloists and chorus, with the Scottish Opera orchestra in partiCUIarly fine form under conductor Richard Farnes. Festival Theatre, Edinburgh.
