Celebrating 50 years of rock
We‘ve teamed up with Miller to offer two lucky readers a fantastic trip for two to London, to catch the Miller Strat Pack Concert at Wembley Arena.This never to be repeated concert celebrates Fender Guitars' 50th anniversary of one of rock’n'roll‘s greatest icons, the Stratocaster guitar.
In 1954, Leo Fender introduced the Stratocaster guitar to the music world. Thanks to legends such as David Gilmour of Pink Floyd, Joe Walsh from The Eagles and, of course, Mr Jimi Hendrix, the Fender Strat became one of the most iconic guitars to ever grace a stage.
Sponsored by Miller and in aid of Nordoff-Robbins Music Therapy, the charity concert will feature David Gilmour playing his serial numbered 001 Stratocaster (the very first of its kind) and will span five decades of guitar music. Gilmour will be joined by other Stratocaster-playing heroes' like Joe Walsh (The Eagles), Phil Manzanera (Roxy Music), Hank Marvin (The Shadows), Paul Rodgers (Free/Bad Company), The Crickets and Mike Rutherford and Paul Carrick (Mike and the Mechanics), as well as other contemporary artists such as Gary Moore and Amy Winehouse.
This fantastic prize includes return flights to London (from Edinburgh), all transfers and overnight accommodation at the four-star Hilton Wembley Plaza hotel as well as lots of Miller goodies. You will also be given the opportunity to live the life of a rock star at the Miller pre and after-show parties — rock on!
