in 2004 includes the following flagship elements:

Bank of Scotland Connecting to Music: a new outreach initiative in partnership with the Edinburgh International Festival dedicated to increasing access to the arts and enabling thousands of children across Scotland to gain a greater understanding and enjoyment of classical music.

Bank of Scotland Queen’s Hall Series: a unique programme of world-class recitals that provide the perfect start to each Festival day.

Orfeo ed Euridice: Opera North in co-production with the Edinburgh International Festival and Emio Greco | PC brings together some great names in the European arts world in an exciting new production of Gluck's sublime opera. conducted by Nicholas Kok.

Bank of Scotland Fireworks Concert: the Festival's grand finale and Europe's largest fireworks display. performed to music by the Scottish Chamber Orchestra against the spectacular backdrop of Edinburgh Castle.
