REASONS

MISS HONEY DIJON

1 Just blew in from the Windy City Hailing from that beacon of all things house. Chicago. Honey was a fixture on the underground scene as a dancer way before she picked up any vinyl. She moved to the Big Apple Vla a stint in Washington and found that playing music for other people to dance to was Just as much fun.

2 She’s got some strong backing Come on really. if the likes of Derrick Carter. DJ Sneak. Frankie Knuckles and Danny Tenaglia think she's great then it 's probably a strong indication that she. well, is. You're not geing to argue With those boys. are y0u?

3 Uh-uh, no plgeonhollng now! This lady reckons sticking to one genre is rubbish. She says her sets are likely to include everything from hip hop to add to straight-up new wave to jackin' house'. Think Chicago house with little cheeky hints of New York Underground. Variety is the spice of lite and all that jazz (not sure she'll play any of that though).

4 Headlined at top notch events She's been spinning at some of the world's best events and parties. including headline appearances at Berlin's Love Parade. Paris' Respect Is Burning and Miami's Winter MUSIC Conference. And now Ultragroove. yOu lucky beggars.

5 Don’t forget the backroom Yeah. yeah, the main room is cool. but you'd be daft to neglect the talents of soulful house disco man Jeremy Newall (Seulsal Recordsi in the backroom. He's the creative force behind the reissuing of this all-time ClaSStC label's back catalogue. Well done that man. (Morag Bruce)
