5 It’s a hard life for a wee hippo living in an urban jungle. Heather Mann’s solo show of new paintings, Trees Please, shows nature displaced and morphed in human settings with painterly skill and a

questioning mind, referencing, among others, Breughel. Her work explores the nature of nature, what it is and how we place ourselves in relation to it; what does it mean to project our values and desires onto the natural world? Mann graduated from Duncan of Jordanstone’s and is based in Dundee a true urban jungle.
