With the fire of early Manic Street Preachers, touches of . . .Trail of Dead‘s operatic bluster and the obligatory youthful exuberance, Ludovico swim against the tide of post-punk prattling with something considerably more ballsy and heads down. The ink is just drying on their deal with Glasgow’s One Records and the first fruits of their studio labour, limited edition single ‘Panic Attack’, is surfacing about now. An album is currently in the offing and it’s not unfair to say this show in the cosy environs of Barfly will be the first on an upward trajectory for the quartet.
