KINGDOM OF HEAVEN
He hasn‘t had a sizeable hit since 2000‘s Gladiator. so director Ridley Scott reckoned it was time to get back to the historical epic. This. his long-awaited crusades drama. follows the travails of young blacksmith who finds love. war and leadership qualities he never knew he had in the Holy Land during one of the many 12th century crusades. The Knights Templar and the entire Christian forces come in for a lot of criticism in the film; the analogy to modern history is clearly deliberate. Scott may draw some catapult fire but hey. it looks great.
