Well, it wouldn’t be On the Decks without a T in the Park update at the moment, would it? The Bacardi B-Bar is definitely returning for some more house grooves with live percussion as ever from Basil (other names still the). They are also heading to the Honeycomb, Edinburgh on 28 May with Martin Solveig and I Robert Owens, amongst 3 others. This is followed by two huge events, both featuring 2 Many DJs plus live sets from the Kills and Who Made Who, first at Ocean Terminal, Edinburgh, 10 June, and swiftly followed by ABC, Glasgow, 11 I June. l

If you fancy a bit of diversity. check out Once Upon a Time in Wigan, a play celebrating the phenomenon that was the heart of the UK northern soul scene down at the Wigan Casino. Mike Martin's play hits the Citizen's Theatre in Glasgow from 17—21 May.

Sol is once again launching is Open Decks DJ Comp to flush out Scotland’s best undiscovered DJ talent. It’s open to any aspiring bedroom DJs playing any style of music (‘so long as they have never been a guest or resident at an established clubnight’), and the closing date is 3 June. Send those application forms (available from www.edinburghdj.co.uk or any good music store in Scotland) with a 30 minute tape/CD/mini- disc with a minimum of six mixes to The Sol DJ Comp, c/o Uber Disko, 36 Cockburn Street, Edinburgh, EH1 1PU. Dates for finals in City Cafe, Edinburgh, Basura Blanca, Glasgow and the Gambia Bar, Stirling will follow later in the month.

And finally we come to the STET La Finale. Due to various members of the collective relocating across the globe they are going to call it quits with one last party featuring Lady Sovereign (pictured).
