The National Museums of Scotland cares for Scotland's priceless collections of art and design. science and technology. world cultures and the natural world. It manages six museums. which welcome 1.5 million local. national and international visitors a year. and provides advice to museums across Scotland. With a new vision. we are embarking on a dynamic programme of development to open up our collections and engage new audiences.

Storyteller in Residence £175 per full day session. (NMSOS/31)

You will plan. create and deliver informal storytelling programmes across the National Museums of Scotland for schools. tourists. families and adults.

With experience of researching storytelling projects and creating stories. you will adapt your sessions to meet the learning styles of your audience. Experience of storytelling in a museum or arts environment is desirable. You must be registered on the Directory of the Scottish Storytelling Centre.

It is anticipated that this post will consist of approximately 57 full day sessions between September 2005 and September 2006. Sessions will include weekend hours.
