I Artists including Hamish Fulton, Antony Gormley, David Shrigley and Ross Sinclair have donated small works on paper and canvas to be auctioned online at www.embassygallery.co.uk to help fund Keith Maclsaac’s latest video art piece, ‘Minoan True’. The auction will last for the duration of Maclsaac’s exhibition at the Embassy gallery (Saturday 9 July-Sunday 31 July).
I The Collective Gallery is searching for four new people to write about the work of four artists selected for exhibition at the Collective in its New Work Scotland Programme. I Portfolio magazine, meanwhile, is opening up applications for the Jerwood Photography Awards 2005. UK-based artists working with photography who have graduated from visual art degree courses between 2002 and 2005 are invited to apply. I Amy Sales, director of EmergeD. the artist-led organisation that was founded in Glasgow in 2002. expanded to Leeds in 2004 and then Edinburgh in 2005, has been appointed as the CCA’s associate curator for visual arts - a job she will perform alongside her existing role. The CCA has also announced that Kate Davis is this year's artist in residence.
