They take over a Saturday night for those who really do have to work on Monday. Bass of bowel-shifting proportions as the mighty Messenger Sound System blasts out the best in righteous roots and dub reggae. Sweet sounds for the King. as their fortnight sees a celebration of Rats Tafari's birthday.

Alan Joy and Brian Dempster are the DJs behind this small. intimate. friendly. predominantly gay club on the top floor of the Venue. Music ranges from trance to deep house with a touch of techno and hard house sometimes thrown in for good measure. I Mission Jnr at Studio 24. 7—l()pm. £5. Weekly. Goth. rock. punk and. of course. all that nu metal stuff that the kids crave so much. So if you ever wondered where all those black-clad youths from the top of C ockburn Street went after dark. look no further. The best and original under |8s metal gathering in town.

Night of metal mayhem. goth rock and tnore from the dark side a real Edinburgh institution that still has a loyal fanbase and an open door policy for anyone with a love of rock attd metal. Things are certainly afoot down Mission way as their new top floor policy kicks into gear with the heavier than thou Void and Goth floor on alternate weeks.
