The Edinburgh International SCience Festival operates a Schools Programme which tours science shows and workshops to over 60.000 pupils throughout Scotland. We are currently recrumng staff to deliver this tour,

Performers (20 posts)

Are you lively, energetic. good With kids and naturally outgomg?

We require performers to deliver science shows and workshops to schools all over Scotland. Performance skills and experience

working with children essential. Some knowledge of science preferable. Driving desuable. Must be based in Edinburgh or Glasgow.

Pay: 2225 - €285/week. Rehearsals : Jan 2006

Dates of contract: Feb- March and April June 2006.

Booking office and touring support staff (4 posts) Booking office manager (1 post)

We require a Booking Office Manager to manage the sales of our shows to schools. The Manager Will work to sales targets set by the operations manager. sell shows to schools, produce weekly reports. and manage the 3 sales and support staff. Logistical support to performers Will be provided once the tour commences. Ability to work to targets, plenty of experience of databases and systems. and good people skills essential. Some knowledge of the geography of Scotland desirable.

Pay: 2350 - 390/Week. Induction and training : early November.

Dates of contract: mid November - end March 2006

and mid April June 2006.

Sales and support staff ( 3 posts)

We require 3 staff to sell the schools tour to primary schools thrOLighout Scotland. Once the shows are booked and the tow commences staff will provide logistical support to the touring performers while they are out on the road.

Ability to work to targets. good people skills and confidence on the phone essential. SOme knowledge of databases and box office customer systems preferable.

Training: Mid November 2005.

Dates of contract: 28 November to 31 March 2006

and mid April June 2006

Pay: $2 230 - £285/week

We require a Lettings Officer to deal with customer enquiries, undertake letting procedures using Artifax (Computerised Space Management System), liaise with prospective lessees regarding their events requirements and provide clerical and administrative support to the Manager.

You will have excellent communication skills both written and verbal. considerable administrative/clerical experience including working knowledge of Artifiax, Excel and Word. and proven problem solving abilities.
