West Lothian Youth Theatre (WLYT) is recruiting for aTrainee Education Officer. This is a 1 year bursary funded by the Scottish Arts Council. It is intended that this position will become a permanent post in the Youth Theatre and generate enough income making it self sustainable.

This is an exciting and valuable training opportunity for someone with a relevant qualification and limited experience wishing to develop their skills in drama / youth theatre and education. The role of the Trainee Education Officer will be to develop. plan and advocate WLYT's Education work more widely and deliver Continuous Professional Development in drama and youth theatre nationally.

DEPUTY BOX OFFICE MANAGER

The person appointed to this position will work closely with the Box Office Manager to run all aspects of this busy box office. Applicants should have at least one year's experience of working in a computerised box office environment. Experience of working with Databox preferable. Excellent proven customer care skills essential. 35 hours per week.

Salary circa £16k

PART-TIME BOX OFFICE ASSISTANT

We are looking for a flexible individual to work within the Box Office team. Experience of working in a computerised box office environment knowledge of Databox would be preferable, but training will be given. Excellent customer care skills essential. Basic hours - 20 per week minimum with the opportunity for extra hours when required.

Salary - £5.18 - £5.50 per hour depending on experience

West Lothian Council and The Rosebery Centre, Livingston. Wanted: A professional film-maker to he artist-in-residence at The Rosebery Centre. Livingston for 6 months facilitating people with Dementia to make meaningful video portraits of their lives. The successful applicant will be an accomplished film-maker with experience of working with people with mental health difficulties. Proficiency in production and post-production equipment is essential. Experience of teaching video prtxluction is desirable. The post is part-time fixed term. January - June 2006. 4 days week. The resident artist will he provided with a dedicated work space where s/he will he allowed to spend 50% of the residency on their own work.

SCOTTISH TOURING THEATRES CONSORTIUM (STTC)

CO-ORDINATOR

The STTC is looking for a freelance Co-ordinator to work on a part-time basis to oversee the development of strategic support for the Consortiums contribution to touring theatre in Scotland. STTC is co-producing two national tours with Catherine Wheels and Visible Fictions in Autumn 2006 and Spring 2007. The Co-ordinator will liaise between producers and the STTC Management Committee.

The successful applicant will have strong administration

& organisational skills, and experience of audience development initiatives. Ideally they will have experience of event/tour management, developing educational support material and knowledge of Performing Arts in Scotland.

The location and hours are flexible, dependent on successful candidate’s circumstances. Fee $215,000.
