Glasgow’s Sub Club celebrates its 19th birthday this issue with four nights of guests and club activities. Homebrew join up with the festival of Light (24 November); Kinky Afro are joined by techno luminary Dave Tarrida (Sativa/Test) for a rare UK set (25 November); Subculture get a guest set from electro funk master Greg Wilson (26 November) and Twitch and Wilkes coincidentally celebrate their own eighth birthday at Optimo (27 November).

dJay (Liquid Room, Edinburgh. 29 November) are offering something a bit different: it's not only a club night where all the resident teams (Snatch. Solescience, Tokyo Blu. Progression and Taste) Wlll be showing off their wares. but you can also bid for their services at your next house party with an auction hosted by Harry Ainsworth himself. AII money raised will go to Waverley Care.

Mixed Bizness are back for another Jive Aid special (16 December, Glasgow School of Art) this time around raising funds for Leukaemia Research in tribute to Cathy Kungu of D- Bass and Manga’s MC Sonny. Residents Boom Monk Ben and Pro Vinylist Karim will be joined by beat boxer Bigg Taj, the Radiomagnetic Sound System, Mungo’s Hi-Fi and more - all for a measly £5.

ECCF and Leith FM are also planning a fundraising extravaganza with their Magical Mystery Tour. Fifteen hundred ticket holders will be whisked off to a secret three- arena location somewhere in or around Edinburgh on 3 December. With DJs representing most of the capital's clubs from Taste and Beatroot to Breakitdown and Progression. it's a snip at £12 with all proceeds going to the Edinburgh Sick Kids Friends Foundation (available from Ripping, City Cafe. Taste and Fever).
