I Gordon’s Gin brought free booze and the Turner Prize 2005 to the masses in Waverley Station, Edinburgh, on 22 December. Kirsty Wark and Patricia Ferguson, MSP, opened the ‘Judge for Yourself’ stand, an interactive experience comprising videos of the artists’ installed pieces, a whiteboard, green and red pens and gin. ‘Jim Lambie rock’s my sox’ (sic) wrote Josh; ‘Fantastic, a woman and a painter!’ quipped some other sozzled punter about Gillian Carnegie.

I Tracey Emin will be signing copies of her book Strange/and in Waterstone's in Edinburgh Princes Street. at 12.30pm on Friday 2 December, and then in the Glasgow Sauchiehall Street store at 5pm. The book examines her childhood and her traumatic teenage years. the subject matter behind much of her prints, quilts and installations. Ask her to do you a doodle if you dare.

I Hannah Robinson’s Mary Mary will be moving out of their Alexandra Park Street residence after Metro Koizumi’s show

I Extraordinary Everyday - a panel discussion will take place on Thu 22nd Dec from 7.00 to 8.00pm in the CCA Cinema, exploring socially engaged art practices. The panel will explore the relationship of artist and collaborator. and look at the issues which emerge from working with different perspectives and experiences. Speakers include Joanne Tatham.
