Madrid

While Madrid is superb sightseeing try the Palacio Real or the stunning art collections in the Prado and Reina Sofia only a fool would wait for dinnertime before finding refreshment. Break off in the early evening and head for the districts of Malasafia and La Latina. l5 mintttes walk north and south respectively frotn Puerta del Sol. Simple bars abound in the narrow alleys. Oslo

Forget the Viking ships at Aker Biygge port and the naked sculptures at Vigeland sculpture park: the place where all the blondes are heading this season is Griinerlokka. at the north-east side of Oslo. Originally a run-down district. Griinerlokka has regenerated itself over recent years as the newest attraction for the any and alternative customer to enjoy Norway‘s famous home beer. Ringnes. Split

Fans of picture-perfect towns may prefer nearby Dubrovnik. but Split's lively atmosphere makes it infinitely more entertaining. Croatia‘s second city is dominated by its waterfront. where you can sip coffee and pose in your shades. However. you're best off in the buzzing side streets and picturesque squares a few hundred metres back. where the bars are plentiful. the pizza slices cheap and tasty and the atmosphere bubbles like a frothy beer.
