The latest club news

Here’s some great news for Scottish clubbing: both Edinburgh’s Trouble and Glasgow’s Subculture have been nominated in the club category for Gilles Peterson’s annual Worldwide Music Awards. It’s a public poll so get on the net and vote. You have to sign up (and the answer to the question is ‘Booty La La’) so click on www.bbc.co.uk/ radiot/urban/peterson/ wwawardsO5 and have your say.

1; We’ve got some more Hogmanay info, which in Edinburgh comes with a tinge of sadness as this year’s New Year technofest Dogmanay will be the last ever date for Dogma. This is simply due to the fact that the Dogma crew are now spread across Scotland. England and Holland. so they‘ve decided to go out on a high before logistics make the whole thing too complicated to organise. Let '3 send them off with a bang. And over in Glasgow Optimo have confirmed they will be taking over the Glasgow School of Art yet again with guests including Zongamin. Rory (Our

Disco/T rash) and Mingo-go.

7' And now some news for the super-organised. The first dance festival of 2006 to be offering tickets for sale is the Big Chill (4—6 August, Eastnor Castle Park, Herefordshire) available form www.bigchill.net. It’s a perfect Chrimbo pressie for chilled beat freaks.

Finally, time for a quick comp. Glamorous new house night Tokyo Disco (from Mark Doyle. the man who brought us Hed Kandi) is coming to Edinburgh's Massa on 10 December with Eric Kupper and Mike van Loon. We have copies of their album The Collection and pairs of guest list tickets for three winners. For your chance to win send your name and address marked ‘Tokyo' to promotions@list.co.uk no later than 7 December.
