The latest club news

I Let’s start off with some good news - Edinburgh’s Studio 24 has had a reprieve from the long anticipated licensing board meeting. They have secured the site for the next few months and retained their 3am licence with the owners pledging to carry out £20,000 of extra sound proofing. Great news for Edinburgh’s club land.

I But it's all swrngs and roundabouts throughout the rest ol the Edinburgh Club scene. Newly Opened Gig has shut. With little warning, for a reltirb and won't reopen again until this summer.

I There are also big changes at Glasgow’s premiere quality internet radio station. radiomagnetic.com. They have stopped broadcasting a live stream and instead will be offering ‘a selection of archived programmes’ with a new range of on-demand programmes and podcast features to be announced soon. There’s some great stuff up there already so it’s still well worth logging on. And to celebrate the new policy there’s an All Change Party featuring the Radio Magnetic Soundsystem (Dougal Perman, Don MacLellan and Boom Monk Ben) on 3 February at the Brunswick Hotel, Glasgow.
