You wouldn‘t think 605 chanteuse Francoise Hardy had an obvious effect on most bands here but her influence is considerable, if stealthy. Nowhere can this be seen so vividly as in the work of Breut, a fellow French singer/songwriter. She has worked with such dextrous musicians as Herman Dune, Yann Tiersen and Calexico‘s Joey Burns so her sound is way more expansive than the standard singer/songwriterly fodder.
