I Project Ability - Centre for Developmental Arts, Glasgow, continues its programme of exhibitions in 2006 with Lea Cummings and Robert Reddick. The organisation works with children and adults with learning disabilities and people with mental health problems. Cumming's highly detailed work examines the movement created when motifs are repeated, and Robert Reddick's (pictured) exuberant drawings act as meditations on his environment. See www.project-ability.co.uk.

I The National Galleries of Scotland have again smashed VisitOr attendance records. wrth the Dean Gallery claiming the largest slice of the pie (up 39.5% from last year), after exhibitions by FranCis Bacon, Henri Cartier-Bresson and Andy Warhol. Twentieth century art seems to be the biggest draw. yet the meagre selection shown at the Choice exhibition at the Royal Scottish Academy failed to satisly our hunger

I Glasgow School of Art has won an award worth £146,963 from the Arts and Humanities Research Council to reanimate the British Empire Exhibition, Bellahouston Park, 1938. The Digital Design Studio, a research and postgraduate centre of the GSA, will present the event as an interactive multimedia experience accessible via the net. The public will be able to virtually stroll around the Modernist architecture that was exhibited and then promptly bulldozered 60 years ago.

I Artist Rose Ruan hopes to be contacted by the heartbroken fallout of the dumping process. in a new work entitled 'My heart has laid a grave for lovers torn asunder“.
