The latest club news

'~ Mini-festival the Wee Chili is making a welcome return later this month at the Queens Park Glasshouse, Queens Park, Glasgow on 28 May. Now in its fourth year the headliners are hip hoppers the Nextmen, alongside Kid Carpet, Michael Peck and Engine, while in the Disco Ballroom Chris Duckenfield and Domenic Cappello are joined by Andrew Back and Haptic. Expanding on previous years this outing features the usual BBQ and stalls as well as a Red Bull acoustic tent of live acts and comedy.

The Good Times man himself, Norman Jay (MBE). is flying up to Scotland at the beginning of next month. The Notting Hill carnival veteran and rare groove master will be hitting both coasts. Joining Trouble and Ultragroove (reborn as Troublegroove for the occasion) on 2 June at Cabaret Voltaire. Edinburgh before heading to Glasgow's ABC for 4 June. Talking of Trouble, they present a live, early show from New Zealand funksters Fat Freddy’s Drop (pictured) at the Liquid Room, Edinburgh, 24 May, with an afterparty at the Wee Red Bar later the same night.
