I Toby Paterson‘s installation was recently unveiled to the gasps of the gathered Glaswegian glitterati. The door, which is the first permanent work commissioned by the Tramway. is a collaboration with Nord Architects. who helped him realise his designs. Paterson continues to employ the language of Modernist architecture. drawing on Mies and Le Corbusier's International Style to create an abstract plan that appears to be the floor plan for a modest Villa with protective curvilinear walls.

I The Arts and Humanities Research Council project ‘Ensemble’ are looking tor stories around the theme of iewellry - the experience of wearing it, making it, the memories it evokes etc. These narratives will be used as the subject matter for ten large pieces that will be installed in various gallery venues, where the wearer will become an integral part of an interactive experience. The relationship between personal disclosure, technology and adornment will be explored. For more details contact s.kettley@napier.ac.uk.
