Cover story: Glasgow for free
Last week, as we were putting together our story on the delights of Glasgow in the summertime, it was hot as hell. The sun was beating down, and we nearly changed the title of our piece to ‘Glasgow in the sunshine’. We had a photo shoot organised with Jenna Pollock, who graces our cover, and yes, it rained. Together with the photographer, Neale Smith, Jenna spent the day waiting for the clouds to clear. But what the hell? Not knowing if you’ll get a damp arse when you sit on the grass in Kelvingrove park is part of the joy of the city in summer. We asked a bunch of Glasgow lovers to tell us the secrets of the city in the summertime: sit back and enjoy our guide to the city from some unusual angles. A city that you can enjoy on the cheap, both outdoors and — when it rains — indoors too. Feature starts on page 6.
