Camille Lorigo (left) established Che Camille, a showroom for independent design in Glasgow’s Chateau. She started off supporting young artists and designers and offers a made-to- measure clothes service.

‘You shouldn‘t have to work at .\lcl)oiialtl\ if you‘re a painter: you should be able to live off your paintings. There are support networks for music and fine art but nothing for design or fashion.

‘At the moment I‘m mentoring. trying to teach the artists about marketability and what customers want. My position is giving feedback and maybe some polish but it's also providing PR and getting the word out it takes so much work. livery week's been a test. But that‘s good because if I‘d snapped my lingers and made it happen it would never be the same place that it is.

I‘m saying to them this is a sample. it might fit and you can take it now. but the idea is that it's made for you. You pick the fabric. we measure you and it's perfect. You‘ll have it forever.
