helmed by Damon Albarn. After the indie Britpop chirpiness of Blur and the wonky hip hop of Gorillaz this is a more stripped down affair with a heavy dub groove. Featuring the bass of Clash legend Paul Simonon, The Verve’s Simon Tong on guitar and Afrobeat pioneer Tony Allen on drums this is a true, if slightly eccentric, supergroup.
