Multi-tasking is key these days so we’re told, so you would think a man like Doug Hoekstra would

have it made. As an accomplished singer-songwriter, he’s monkeyed around with what’s expected of the Americana style of his current home of Nashville adding his own sophisticated touches. In addition, his first book, Bothen’ng the Coffee Drinkers, a collection of stories, musical fiction and essays has been published, which only adds to his reputation as ‘Americana’s answer to Oscar Wilde’.
