Billed as ‘an adventure playground for those who love eating out‘. Taste ol~ Edinburgh is a fantastic opportunity for food lovers to sample ‘taster dishes‘ from l5 of the city‘s top restaurants. whose chef's will work for the four days of the l‘estival in their onsite demonstration kitchens. Participating restaurants include Restaurant Martin Wishart. The Tower. Duck‘s at Le Marche Noir. and The Kitchin. winner of The [.ist‘s liating and Drinking award for lidinburgh Restaurant ol~ the Year. SUBMISSIONS INVITED FOR SHORT FILM AWARD

I The Cameo Cinema Jim Poole Short Film Award is inviting entries for its 2007 competition. The award, partly funded by Scottish Screen and sponsored by the Edinburgh International Film Festival, is named after the late Jim Poole, credited with introducing specialist continental cinema to Edinburgh when he acquired the city’s Cameo in 1949. Organisers are aiming to select a shortlist of ten films of under 20 minutes in length from an anticipated pool of more than 100 Scotland-based entrants. Winners will receive a cheque for £1000 at a ceremony in the capital on Sunday 17 June, while the winning film will be screened before a feature at the Cameo and the Belmont, Aberdeen as well as a number of other venues throughout the UK. Beanscene launches music download store Beanscene, the coffee and music houses which originated in Glasgow, have launched a pioneering music download service. which enables customers to purchase any song that catches their attention while sipping their coffee. either by download or SMS text.

The new download store, which has been added to the company's comprehensive music website at wvwvbeanscenecom. gives music lovers access to a selection of more than a million tracks of different genres. When a customer hears a song they like. they simply text BEANSCENE +- track ID from their mobile. The customer then receives a text with a voucher code and the track name. which ' can be used to acquire the piece of mUSIC from the download store.

Beanscene founder Gordon Richardson is delighted aboth this latest innovation. The launch of our download stere marks the realisation of our aim to bring together all aspects of the Beanscene Vibe to create a place where anyone can come to spend some time with friends and family.
