Launched last month, the 2007 edition of The List Eating & Drinking Guide features our recommendations for some of the finest places to eat out in Edinburgh and Glasgow.

Our army of 70 reviewers had the waistline-busting challenge of sampling the food and drink in 899 establishments, including 150 new restaurants.

If you were to eat out every single day it would take two years, five months and

14 days to get around every place

featured in the guide. That's a lot of food.

To save you the time, money and

calories involved in visiting them all, we

have highlighted the restaurants, cafés,

bars and bistros that offer something

extra special with a place on our Hitlists.

From Arts Venues and Bistros to Thai

and Vegetarian, each section in the ..

guide features these shortlists of the B u R G H

places offering the very best cuisine in their category. Of course, if you wish to agree or disagree on our recommendations, please visit www.|ist.co.uk and have your say.

What follows is a selection of some of the establishments which really impressed our reviewers. So get out there and get eating.
