Post 1: Visual and Public Art. Ref: 236.26P

You will play a key role in the strategic development of arts initiatives and facilities with a specific responsibility to assist with the implementation of the council's public art policy, public arts strategy and development of the visual arts. You should have experience of managing visual and public art projects, commissioning artists, managing contracts and partnership working and securing and managing funding. The ability to be creative and innovative is also essential.

Post 2: Temporary contract to cover secondment - initially for

Playing a key role in the strategic development of arts initiatives and facilities, you will have specific responsibility to develop arts programmes, which improve health and well being, and to improve access to the arts for all through targeted work. You will have experience and knowledge of project management, audience development, and working to agreed plans and budgets which require the ability to prioritise

a heavy workload.

For both posts, some travel in West Lothian necessary. A willingness to work flexible hours including some evenings and weekends is essential.
