I DON’T WANT TO RIDE MY BICYCLE

I recently bought a bike and had no idea how ha/ardous a pastime cycling is. In the past month I have almost been knocked off my bike six times. One taxi-drzy'ing eeiit had the nerye to yell at me because had dared to cycle in the cycle lane. To make matters ‘.'.'orse the roads n Giasgou‘x are full of potholes. thought the Government '.'.'anted to encourage us to get on our bikes. Pro‘.’iding cycle lanes is a good start but how about fixing the roads?

A VISION FOR EUROPE

It's that time of year. My favourite campfest TV event has been

and gone. That's right. I'm talking about Eurovision. I'm not

going to spout on about political voting or Britain's dire entry

because. well. that's a bit obyious. I'm going to take the indie

approach. I'm constantly hearing songs from my music

collection that seem made for Eurovision. In particular I'm

thinking about Bis' ‘Eurodisco' and Helen Love's ‘Does Your

Heart (To Hoorn'. Mostly because seeing someone on stage

shouting 'Atari Teenage Riot‘ over and over again to a techno

t‘.'.'ee soundtrack would be sheer brilliance.

Theresa hugecredibility factor that puts off a lot of bands.

There's nothing I'd like to see more than Oasis tailing

miserably to gain points then burning themselves in a ditch in humiliation. \‘r/hat about The Pipettes? It's about time we had

a t‘-.'.'ee--tastic indie pop entry and they "re not too bad on the

eye erther'. With their polka dot dresses and coordinated dance mo‘.'es. It '.'.'ould be a nice break from the droning ballads and

sIea/y Mediterranean guys.

I'm off to listen to the tin foil clad drag queen who

came in second place for the Ukraine. 'Fins. /‘.'.'er.

It was very mOVIng indeed. The people you thought were going to be the bad guys weren't. It wasn't too black and white.

I really liked the last scene. The ending was really powerful.

I expected more. I thought it was geing to be more ab0ut the 80s.. It was good but a bit disjointed and not much happened. It is still worth seeing. though.

John Rutherford Property manager

I really enjoyed it. It was both funny as well as being a bit sad.
