WIN TICKETS TO THE EDINBURGH INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL

As sponsors of the Edinburgh International Film Festival's Retrospective series at the

Filmhouse, Edinburgh. we have 4 tickets to give away to all 12 screenings focused around Anita Loos.

Anita Loos was born in 1888 in Sissons, California, and scored her first paid work as a

screenwriter some twenty-four years later. She would subsequently adjust her

published age considerably - driving future interviewers to delicately query whether she

had really started work in Hollywood at age twelve - but even if she wasn‘t as precocious as she pretended, hers was a long life, and her voice always a vibrant, youthful one. Her career took her from the earty days of silent cinema through and beyond the Golden Age of the Hollywood studios. As well as amassing a startling number of screen credits and working alongside countless legends-in-the-making,

Anita found time to pen stage musicals, memoirs and novels - most notably the wond-

famous Gentlemen Prefer Blondes.

To enter, just tell us:

What year was Anita Loos born in?
