Post-Festival blues? Mosey on over to Pilrig Park, which is preparing to twitch again to an insistent, persistent bhangra beat. This year the massive, weekend-long inter-

cultural festival has pulled performers from Tibet, Iran, Nepal, China, Brazil, Iraq and India for a programme packed out with Kathakali dance, giant Lahori puppets, the now-traditional sights and smells of the South Asian bazaar and an appearance from Rahat Zahid, the Pakastani poet who translates Robert Burns poetry into Urdu.
